Evaluation.

In my groups horror movie I played the part of the perpetrator and also a camera man and director, of a mysterious school janitor on a rage to kill young students. I had to make sure my group were always on task and in role. During school I did some background research, I helped to come up with a script/storyline for our production, we reaserched about the horror genre to help suit our trailer.
In a typical horror genre movie the conventions consists of props such as knives or guns. We used a mask to hide the identitiy of the killer and to help create tension.
In my horror movie trailer I play the role of the killer which murdred Nersine playing her self and her friend Hennok playing Lockdon. The so called killer is on a rampage and wants everyone in the school dead. The students don't know thta this killer has killed many students before as he is very good at hiding his tracks.
It starts off after school where Nesrine asks Lockdown to stay after school for some revision. They get bored and start wondering around. But they do not know whats in store for them, as they are strolling around their school they are killed one by one. Hennok is killed in the playground as he leaves Nesrine beacuse she had to use the toilet and is killed there. Nesrine had tried to fight but the killer was too strong for ther. During school time me and my group came up with a script and a storyline.

We came up with the name 'After hours' as the whole piece is done after school, this can be seen at the start of trailer when the bell goes off and all students leave. Instead of using small confined places like in usual horror movies, we used big open spaces we did this so we could break some conventions and are also we were lucky enough to have such an open space to use.
This relates to our aduciene who are school memeber ages from 15 onwards.

We chose to do a horror comedy as we had a very little budget and this was very cheap and easy to do, we had to watch other horror comeides so we could take some ideas and implement them into our trailer. We based it around our school as the victims are school children.

We used a couple of camera angles, one would be extreme close up for when Hennok was killed we did this beacuse it showed how a person may react to when being killed.

During editing we found it hard but soon over came this with practise, we added fast cuts and text. We had to make the text short and easy to read so the trailer could be snappy.

Mise-en-Scene

Trey Songz - Can't Help But Wait.
This video has good mise-on-scene such as lighting, colour, the characters costume changes in every scene. The setting is good because it's not in a field it is home, cafe and the street, this is good because it shows a story.
In one scene there is a charact
er and behind him is a view of new york city. The lighting is good because it's bright and sunny, not gloomy and dark.

                                                                                        Usher - Burn.
In this video the mise-en-scene it different, the lighting is dark and gloomy to show depression. This video has spacial effect's, such as fire.
The costume is good, but hardly any, they did this to show they "love" each other.

The model is standing in an upright position with her legs spread in a jump style with her arms close to her body. She is like this because it shows that she is a happy jumpy girl with a bubbly personality. Her facial expression is of her smiling cheekily showing that she is a happy person. The location of the advert is in the sky this could be because, the lack of costume on the girl shows that it’s a hot summer day as she is wearing a vest and skinny jeans. There are some props such as balls in the air. The colours they used; Pink; can be used to show childish innocence, or a characters child-like personality. The name of the product is ‘Touch of Pink’ the pink shows that it’s for females as pink is feminine. The writing is a soft, simple formal font. This product has no slogan. The camera shot is long shot, showing her full body from head to toe the angle is from straight ahead, her face is facing the camera.
This product is aimed for women aged from 18-23 the working class/young adults from England. Their jobs would include; supermarket workers, sectary’s, receptionists that work at dentists, doctors their lifestyle choices; Movies, they would like romantic films with ‘Hot male celebrities’, their magazine choices would be ones like ‘Heat, OK, Glamour, they would dine at fast food restaurants, Starbucks, PrĂȘt A Manger.

In this advertisement women are shown as ‘Fun, sexy outgoing’ people I got this from her facial expression, Her lips are open with a cheeky grin, her shoulders quite close to her body, and her legs spread out. I think that this girl has no job, she is either looking for work or a student, I got this from her age which could be from 18-23. She is the only person in the advert so she has the power. This advert is quite stereotypical or sexist as they named the product ‘Touch of Pink’ with a female model, saying that pink is for girls.

The advert shows her as a young blonde enthusiastic girl, who is fascinated by a bird and starts to follow it. She is wearing a short skirt, showing off her legs. She is shown as  little girl who is easily distracted and loves to run around.
